Come and join us for a sneak peak of our Fall 2018 PEERS Program! We will have a mini PEERS session to give you an idea of how the program works, along with a fun PEERS-based activity and a door prize drawing. Facilitators and Progam Assistants will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about the program. ASD Professionals, Parents and Young Adults with ASD are all welcome!

Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS) for young adults (ages 18-35) is a 16-week evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated young adults, who are interested in learning skills to make and keep friends and develop romantic relationships.

During each group session, young adults are taught important social skills and are given the opportunity to practice these skills. Parents, acting as social coaches, are taught how to assist young adults by providing feedback during weekly socialization homework assignments.

Participation requires high functioning ASD, Asperger’s or PDD-NOS diagnosis, graduation from high school, over 18 years old, independent functioning in public, able to communicate and safely participate in group with no disruptive behavior, desire to socialize with others while attending, psychologically sound (no aggression or self harm for at least 12 months). Registered participants must complete a screening intake interview to determine eligibility.
