Self Advocacy Training 1 is designed for ASD adults to develop the skills needed to better communicate their strengths, abilities, interest, and needs when interviewing with potential employers or applying to trade schools, colleges, or universities. This program empowers ASD adults to make decisions about their own lives and become more independent. Participants will gain knowledge in: Developing Self Awareness, Understanding Personal Rights, Setting Goals, Requesting Appropriate Accommodations, Developing an Action Plan, Learning to Advocate for Personal Needs.
The Self-Advocacy Training 2 is available to students who have successfully completed the Self-Advocacy Training 1.

• Action Plans
• Advocating for Needs
• Disclosing Disability Appropriately
