Task Masters

Task Masters is a step-by-step group coaching program designed to help adults with ASD develop the necessary executive function skills needed to meet daily responsibilities. Executive functions connect our present choices to future outcomes. They help us manage our time, be productive, plan, organize, and reach goals. Task Masters incorporates a 3 step process to focus on a different executive function skill each week, each skill building on the next to improve self awareness and daily functioning.

Frequently Asked Question

How do executive function programs help with autism?

Executive function development is the cornerstone for individuals on the autism spectrum. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses in their executive functioning skills, however, these functions tend to develop a little slower with individuals with autism.  There are twelve executive functions and our Task Masters program focuses on a different one each week, from Task Initiation to Emotional Control, and Response Inhibition to Stress Management. With each skill building on the next to improve self management and goal achievement.

I can confidently say that this organization is one of the best places you can sign up with if you are an adult on the spectrum who needs help with developing any kind of area in your life, including: social skills, independent living skills, self-advocacy, job readiness skills and vocational skills, and much more! I have personally seen dozens grow from joining and participating in these programs. In addition, every single staff member—as well as the founder herself—put every fiber of their being towards helping clients and creating a safe, positive environment for everyone.

ASD Adult Achievement Center is truly a remarkable place to work at. There, I've met a lot of people that go through similar challenges that I also face. Here, I've learned all sorts of new techniques that will help more when I'm in a workplace to improve from the struggles that I have been going through and I have made many designs of creativity in the working environment.
