Being conscious of our emotions and learning how to deal with them when they arise, gives us insight as to how our actions might affect others and what strategies we can employ to make better decisions.
This coaching tool kit employs a 3-step process to help individuals with ASD improve emotional control. You will start by exploring the ways that emotional control weakness affects your daily life. Next, you will choose from a list of strategies that tend to be helpful for improving emotional control. Lastly, you will set up a strategic plan to make improvements in specific areas of your life. After you have worked on these improvements, you will reflect back on your progress to improve self awareness.
