It’s our mental sticky note that helps us recall important information and apply it toward a given activity. Strengthening our working memory skills will help us create pathways in our brains that lead to long-term storage.
This coaching tool kit employs a 3-step process to help individuals with ASD improve working memory. You will start by exploring the ways that working memory weakness affects your daily life. Next, you will choose from a list of strategies that tend to be helpful for improving working memory. Lastly, you will set up a strategic plan to make improvements in specific areas of your life. After you have worked on these improvements, you will reflect back on your progress to improve self awareness.
